Intern / Working Student (w/m/d) – Augmented Reality for Computed Tomography

Fraunhofer-Institut für Integrierte Schaltungen IIS
Part-time
On-site
Passau, Bayern, Germany

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 800 employees work with an annual research budget of 3 billion euros.

Researchers at the Fraunhofer IIS Development Center X-ray Technology EZRT are developing modern cognitive sensor systems that are able to generate comprehensive data from test objects. Especially in the field of plant phenotyping, the virtual representation of plant features plays an important role to implement digital sensors in future plant breeding pipelines for climate adapted plants. Our research group on »Knowledge-based image processing and visualization« in Passau provides essential contributions for the analysis and visualization of computed tomography data to facilitate an in-depth understanding of our test objects.
